17 Apr Why talking to our Grandparents is so important
It can be hard to believe that our Grandparents were once young, having to deal with the same ups and downs of life that we face.
Guess what though? They were and they survived, giving them a massive amount of knowledge, insight and wisdom that we are lucky enough to tap into.
We found an article which explores the 37 things you’ll regret when you are old, and we weren’t too surprised to read lucky number 22 as “Missing the chance to ask your grandparents questions before they die”.
Grandparents are a wonderful resource who could potentially explain some of those philosophical questions we wonder about, including:
- “What will success feel like?”
- “How will I know if I have been a good parent?”
- “How will I ensure my children become well-rounded adults?”
They have been there and done that, so much so they now have grandchildren who are reading this and interested to learn from them.
So next time you talk to them, think about where you are at in your life now and ask them about their life at the same age, you never know what nuggets of wisdom you will learn.
